The Principality of Andorra is located in the Pyrenees and bordered by France and Spain. It is a small mountainous country that attracts lots of tourists. In summer you can go hiking and enjoy open air sports, while in winter the high level ski resorts are the main attraction.
Catalan, Spanish and French are spoken. Andorra is a tax haven and the town centre, called Barri Antic, is packed with all shorts of shops. Its narrow cobbled streets and beautiful stone houses are typically found in villages in the Pyrenees. The seat of the Andorran Parliament, called La Casa de la Vall, is one of the most emblematic buildings in the country.
Caldea, a huge thermal spring resort in Les Escaldes, has a 600 m2 lake where the water is kept at 32 degrees: the perfect place to relax after a skiing day at the quiet and traditional ski resort of Ordino, or at Soldeu-El Tarter or Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig, the most famous ski resorts in the country. You can also visit the more than 200 cars, motorbikes and bicycles exposed at the Museu Nacional de l’Automòbil.
