Graz, the beautiful Danube banks in Wachau, and the huge bay of Melk are also worth a trip. One of the most attractive spots is Hallstatt, a town located in a region full of lakes and mountains.
Salzburg, home town of Mozart and centre of important musical and theatre festivals, holds the baroque cathedral and the medieval fortress Festung Hohensalzburg.
