SWEDENWith its breathtaking natural landscape with snowed mountains, forests, lakes and tiny islands, Sweden is a paradise for nature lovers. It shares borders with Norway, Finland and Denmark.
Stockholm, its capital city, enjoys a privileged location by the sea and offers a rich cultural heritage. Some of the most beautiful buildings are the Royal Palace, Drottninghlon and the 700-year-old Storkyrkan cathedral, witness of royal celebrations. The visitors can also enjoy the impressive Stadhuset, the town hall; the Nationalmuseum; the Kungstadgarden, oldest park in the city; and Skansen, the first open air museum EVER.
From Stockholm there are one-day trips to Lake Malaren and its islands, where you can visit the castles. Uppsala, a lively university town, hosts the biggest Gothic cathedral in Scandinavia. Malmö is an old fishing town, and in Göteborg we can find avenues packed with cafés, a busy harbour and a lively cultural life, as well as the huge watchtower called Goteborgsutkiken, and the ship museum Marítima Centrum.
Part of the Swedish territory is located in the Arctic Circle, so there is permanent sunlight some days in summer and there are some days in winter where the sun never rises. The country has a lot of natural resources and its inhabitants are hospitable, kind and well-educated.
