SWITZERLANDSwitzerland offers high class ski resorts in Graubünden valley, alpine grasslands, medieval cities, relaxing rural areas and an excellent cuisine. It shares borders with France, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Italy. In Switzerland you can find the sources of the river Rhine and the river Rhône. The cities on the north part of Lake Geneva form the French speaking Switzerland. A group of harbours allow the access from the German speaking Switzerland all the way to Ticino, where Italian is spoken.
Geneva, by the lake, hosts the International Red Cross Museum. The charming city centre hosts St. Pierre cathedral.
The city centre of Basel is a labyrinth of beautiful streets and places, and the centre of Bern, the capital city, has been declared World Heritage by the UNESCO. The city is famous for the Clock Tower, its streets full of arcades, and its magnificent fountains.
Interlaken, dedicated only to tourists, hosts the Mystery Park, a theme park about the mystery of the origin of mankind. Luzern offers nature, high mountains and crystal clear lakes, while Zurich, with its medieval area full of cafés, elegant boutiques and its university atmosphere, is the finance centre in the country.
